Stainless Plates are being used for varius applications but all industrial.The reason why stainless plates are being used are various and one of them is it is anti corrosive. With this particular reason stainbless plates are being used in marine, offshore, chemical, sugar, food & Breverege, pharmaceutical applications.

Stainless Plates are available in many grades with different different features and advantages and engineers can easily make it out that wich grade they should go for and which standrd will serve the purpose. The main element in Stainless Plates are Nickel, Molybedium , Chromium and Carbon.

Stainless Plates Grades

 

There are 100s of grades available for stainless plates. All these grades are being devided into major categories being known as Asustantic, Ferritic and Martenstic. There is one more category exisitinng as stainless alloys and that is Duples Steel.

Stainless Plates are mainly identified with ASTM standard but there are many other standrads available cuntry wise and it is upto engineer that which standard they follows.

Stainless Plate Mills

 

In India there are three stainless plates milss Salem Steel Plant, Jindal Stainless and Shh Alloys. We recomend Jindal Stainless because we have experienced that the quality of this mills plates are as per international standard and norms at best possible rates. SALEM ia also known for quality stainless but it is only for sheets and light thickness coils.
Indian mills were producing maximum width upto 1270mm only in stainless steel plates, sheets and Coils. In international market maximum width is avaialble up to 3500mm and for mor than 1250 or 4 feet width we are totally dependent on overseas stainless plates mills only.
